Join us to hear from neurodiverse colleagues and friends. From tracking neurodiversity associated microaggressions to poetry outside of neurotypical constructs, our guests explore neurodiversity that we can learn from.

3 speakers will be joining us from across the arts, sciences and music. They will tell us a little bit more about themselves and what they are working on:

Dez MendozaDez is a nonbinary autistic poet and researcher based at Imperial College library. They will perform part of their work, entitled ‘Insects, Autism and Poetry’ and talk a little about it. Dez describes their poetry as an ‘act of nonconformity’, the aim being not to speak of their experiences in neurotypical terms, but to describe how the world is navigated through their own embodied language

Vladimir MolicoVladimir is an Royal College of Art Digital Direction graduiatespecialising in community-centric and democratising design. He has create the CounterspaceApp, a framework for designing commintiy led solutions for tackling microaggressions.

We will also be joined by a colleague from the Royal College of Music, to be confirmed.

By meeting others and talking about experience, we can explore the shared challenges we face and how we can work together to make change.

The Neurodiversity in Albertopolis Network supports staff and students across our partners to connect and make positive change. Everyone is welcome, especially staff, students and allies. Come along to explore different perspectives.
