The Inflammation, Repair and Development Section’s seminar series continues by welcoming Professor Salman Siddiqui a Clinical Professor of Airways Disease at the University of Leicester, UK. This talk will be chaired by Professor Sejal Saglani, Head of Section.

Professor Salman Siddiqui is Salman is the clinical lead for severe asthma (nationally commissioned centre) and adult hyper eosinophilic syndrome/EGPA in Leicester. Salman’s research interests focus on phenotyping and experimental medicine in severe asthma/COPD and advanced health care technologies. Salman leads the national NIHR-EME BEAT-Severe asthma clinical trials program in the UK, is the Chief Investigator of the East Midlands Breathomics Molecular Pathology Node (EMBER), Chief Investigator of the national VIDEOMADE digital clinical trials program in airways disease, National Asthma TRC Research Strategy Group chair and is the co-founder and clinical lead for the UK EPSRC+ Integrating Data-driven Biophysical Models into Respiratory Medicine – BIOREME network. Salman’s talk will focus on unravelling heterogeneity in airway diseases and the role of advanced health care technologies in airway diseases.
