This graduate school, co-organized by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training “Mathematics of Random Systems” at Imperial College London and the University of Oxford, provides a learning and interaction opportunity for PhD students and early career researchers.
The school consists of two lectures courses, some invited lectures and short research presentations by participants.
The invited lecture courses (consisting of 6 hours of lectures and 4 hours of problem classes each) are:
Prof. Dan Crisan (Imperial College London, United Kingdom): Particle Filters for Data Assimilation.
Prof. Franco Flandoli (Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Italia) : An introduction to Random Dynamical Systems for Climate.
For more information, including the programme, see the school’s website http://math.ac.vn/conference/GMRS2021/.
Participation is free of cost. Participants will receive a zoom link to attend the school online, after registration at the school’s website. Online attendance to the school may be limited if the online attendance capacity is met, so early registration is recommended.
There is an opportunity for early career researchers to present their results in the form of a short (15 mins) contributed talk: an application should be made at the point of registration, as soon as possible (certainly before 30 August 2021). The allocation of contributed talks will be published on 1 September 2021.
