Dr. Evi Petavratzi

This highlight lecture will be presented by Dr. Evi Petavratzi, Senior Mineral Commodity Specialist at the British Geological Survey. The structure of lecture will be 40 – 50 minutes of presentation with Q&A afterwards. You are then invited to join us for refreshments.

The title of this lecture will be:

Towards sustainable and responsible supply of technology metals: Drivers, tools, finding and the importance of interdisciplinarity.

The lecture will be held at Imperial College London at the South Kensington Campus, Sherfield Building, Level 5, Pippard Lecture Theatre. As there are limited spaces for the in person session we ask that you register in advance. You can also join online.

Biography

Dr. Evi Petavratzi

Senior Mineral Commodity Specialist, British Geological Survey

Dr. Evi Petavratzi is a Senior Mineral Commodity Geologist at the British Geological Survey BGS), with over 13 years of working experience in industry, academia and the public sector. At BGS, her research is in the field of security of supply and the circular economy, with a focus on decarbonisation and resource management. She has been involved in several multidisciplinary projects in the areas of critical raw materials, material flow analysis and the enhancement of the European knowledge base for raw materials. She holds a PhD in Mining Engineering and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management and a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
