Although primarily to support students of Black heritage, The Power of Mentorship, which is funded by Research England, is open to any student (UG, PGT and Research Degree) who is interested in learning more the value of being a mentor or mentee. A panel of speakers will share their experiences and there will be time to ask questions. In addition, there will be information about the new Activate mentoring programme and funding for international opportunities. The event will end with a networking reception.

- 16.00 – 16.05: Welcome and introduction – Professor Sara Rankin
- 16.05 – 17.00: Sharing experiences – the value of mentoring (panel of mentors and mentees with a Q&A)
- 17.00 – 17.10: “Activate” a new College mentoring programme – Dr Caroline Hargreaves and Laura Lane, Graduate School
- 17.10 – 17.20: Funding for international opportunities (International Relations Office)
- 17.20 – 18.30: Networking reception
