Remote healthcare has boomed since the COVID-19 pandemic, delivering clear benefits – but also highlights the need for better data.


A new report published by the OECD on 17 January looks to a new era in telemedicine, The future of telemedicine and the COVID-19 pandemic‘.

Join the Commonwealth Fund, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London for a virtual discussion on the future of telemedicine, findings from the newly released report examining the effects of remote care in OECD countries, and the national policies that led to its widespread use.

Speakers will discuss opportunities and challenges related to implementing and scaling virtual care, including: building the necessary data infrastructure, creating effective payment arrangements, ensuring care is centered on patient needs, and elevating key priorities for policymakers to consider in the future.
