Abstract: This talk will be an anthology of short constructions and examples whose fil rouge is quotient spaces. We will cover some material in moduli spaces, minimal model program, groupoids, algebraic stacks, algebraic spaces and the celebrated Keel-Mori theorem, which says that an algebraic stack can be coarsely represented by an algebraic space.

Some snacks will be provided before and after the talk.

Note that the room has changed from last term, we are back to the basement, room 139.

This talk will be broadcasted via Zoom. Subscribe to the mailing list or contact organisers to get the Zoom details.
