Our Virtual Open Day, on Thursday, 23 March 2023, 13.00-14:00, is a great way to find out more about studying Cancer Informatics at Imperial College’s Faculty of Medicine.

Receive world-class training in research at the interface of computational and clinical translational science on this Master’s course. With an emphasis on the field of informatics, this course embraces cutting-edge developments in the field of cancer research.

Informatics covers the handling and analysis of data. This programme will equip you with the skills required to leverage large biological and clinical datasets to address novel hypotheses and gain new insights into molecular biology. You’ll explore technologically advanced approaches currently being applied, in a teaching programme that comprises both theoretical and practical elements.

Here is what you can expect from the event:

13:00 – 13:10 – Introduction
You will be introduced to the course by course lead Dr James Flanagan, and meet stream leads Dr Kirill Veselkov and Dr Marc Lorentzen.

13:10 – 13:30 – Cancer Informatics (CI) Introduction
Dr Kirill will provide further details about the course and what you would expect being a CI student.

13:30 – 13:40 – Meet a current CI student
You will get the opportunity to meet a current CI student to find out about their experience of being a CI student.

13:40 – 14:00 – Q&A
You will get the opportunity to ask members of the team any questions that you may have.
