We are delighted to welcome the Rt Revd Dame Sarah Mullaly, Bishop of London to reflect with us during the service. Before ordination Bishop Sarah was a nurse and had the role of Chief Nursing Office in the NHS 1999 and 2004. She is the first woman to hold the post of Bishop of London.
The music includes a new commission by one of our current student composers. The music for the words of the service is by contemporary composers Joanna Forbes-L’Estrange and Jonathan Dove. The music for the psalm is by one of our own student composers from the Chamber Choir.
There will be a drinks reception in church after the service – please email Chaplaincy if you would like to attend the reception.
Evensong is open to all members of the College, the RCA and RCM, alumni, and the public. The service happens every two weeks in term-time. You can engage with the service in your own way. We know that people of different faith traditions and world views find Choral Evensong a welcoming meditative time.
