In this talk I detail an isolated symplectic singularity I discovered recently, arising from a crepant partial resolution of a quotient symplectic singularity. I will focus on the algebraic methods used to find and verify the singularity, methods used to distinguish it from known existing cases, and to find various properties of interest. This is based on a recently uploaded pre-print (https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.24524).
Note that there is a lunch break at about noon, and after the break we will hold more informal discussions.
