College Evensong is sung by Imperial’s student Chamber Choir
This week’s Evensong celebrates the new academic year with ‘The Call’ by Gail Randall, as well as music by Richard Ayleward and Joseph Rheinberger. The Canticles are by Charles Stanford in C, and the psalm setting is by a current member of the choir.
It is an ancient pattern of evening prayer combining music, words, and silence to create a time for personal reflection and stillness (whatever your faith or worldview). The services regularly use music written by current students and women composers.
