On behalf of the Department of Chemical Engineering’s Departmental Student Representatives, Alice, Leo, and Arsh, we are pleased to invite all staff and students to the 50th Annual Newitt Lecture: The Grand Challenge, in partnership with Matahio Energy – reflecting a shared interest in exploring the complexities and realities of the global energy transition.
This year’s lecture will take the form of a live, interactive engineering scenario centred on a fictional energy company, navigating its shift toward more progressive and sustainable energy pathways. The discussion will bring together technical, financial, legal, and strategic perspectives on decision-making during the energy transition.
