Speakers:
Dr Katerina Petropoulou is a Research Fellow with a background in clinical nutrition and metabolic health. She has years of experience translating her research into real-world food, health, and product solutions across academia, healthcare and industry.
Dr Wasim Akhtar is Head of Commercial at Pret A Manger. His talk will be on his journey from academic to industry, beginning as a PhD student and leading into his current role in Pret A Manger. Within this he will discuss the key similarities and differences between academia and industry.
Dr Anna Cherta is a former PhD student at Imperial that now works as a specialist scientist in glucose and weight management at Nestlé. She will talk about transitioning from academia to industry.
Katie Dallison is an Imperial Careers Consultant. She will provide a short session highlighting broader ideas for beyond research within the food related areas and support ECRI can offer to students.
