AI is one of the fastest growing technologies available to the public. With its rapid integration into regularly used apps and programmes, questions arise concerning its necessity in everyday use — and its impact on the environment.
This hybrid event will discuss the environmental implications of AI use and cover the new guidance from Imperial for sustainable best-practice, as presented by Imperial’s Head of Sustainability (Property and ICT), Dr Hannah Scott. It’ll also feature Dr Cesar Quilodran Casas, who will share a case study on how AI can support and elevate sustainability research and initiatives.
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with both speakers.
