We are delighted to host Professor David Lewis, Group Leader in Molecular Imaging at the Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute.
Professor Lewis leads a multidisciplinary research programme focused on understanding cancer metabolism using state-of-the-art imaging technologies, including PET/MR imaging, alongside genomics and metabolomics approaches. His work aims to uncover the drivers of metabolic heterogeneity in tumours, a key factor underlying cancer progression, metastasis, and drug resistance.
By developing non-invasive methods to classify tumours and monitor their behaviour in real time, his research seeks to improve patient stratification and guide more effective, personalised cancer treatments. This seminar will provide valuable insights into cutting-edge imaging approaches and their applications in cancer research and clinical translation.
