IG Meet the Hub Leads

Meet the in-country hub teams from Ghana and India at our drop-in session

Do you have a research collaboration with partners in West Africa or India, or are you interested in starting one? Have you heard of the Imperial Global hubs, but don’t yet know how they can benefit you?

At this drop-in session – aimed at academics and researchers across all Faculties at Imperial, and those supporting them – you’ll have the chance to meet colleagues based at two of Imperial’s hubs in Accra (Ghana) and Bengaluru (India) during their brief visit to London, and get the answers to all your questions, big and small.

Ghana and India are home to vibrant research, education and innovation ecosystems, offering growing opportunities for Imperial colleagues to build partnerships that respond to shared global challenges. Whatever your field, the hubs can help you understand local contexts, identify the right partners and turn early ideas into meaningful collaborations – whether in health, climate resilience, AI, clean energy, entrepreneurship, urban futures, or beyond.

Whether you’d like to know how to plan a trip to develop a collaboration, learn about the science, technology and innovation ecosystems of Ghana and India, or find out about funding opportunities, come along and find out more.

The session will start with brief presentations (14:30–14:55), showcasing the range of activities taking place at the hubs in Ghana and India. You’ll then have the chance to chat informally with the hub representatives, ask them your burning questions and find out more about their work (15.00–16.00). You’ll also have the chance to meet academics who have worked with the hubs, and colleagues from Imperial’s International Relations Office.

The session will also provide an opportunity to learn more about theImperial Global Connect Fundand how to apply. This fund offers kickstarter grants to Imperial staff seeking to build collaborations with partners in hub regions. Previous grant holders willalsobe present to share their experiences and reflect on the impact of their grants. Find out how other Imperial researchers have connected with the global hubs.
