Dr Simon Fleming

This three part webinar series will use lived experiences, interactive activities, open discussions, and collaborative problem-solving to gain practical tools and insights to support inclusion in everyday practice. You are welcome to join for one, two or all three sessions.

This series is organised and presented by Lillie Pakzad-Shahabi, Neuro-oncology Clinical Research Practitioner (Computational Oncology Lab) and Interim Co-chair of Able.

Rather than focusing on specific diagnoses or labels, this series will explore the barriers neurodivergent colleagues may experience and identify practical steps we can all take to create workplaces where people can thrive. We hope that though learning directly through the lived experience perspective we can create meaningful and impactful discussions.

What we hope you will gain from attending these webinars:

  • Develop a greater understanding of neurodiversity and workplace barriers
  • Focus on individual needs rather than diagnoses and labels
  •  Learn practical tools for creating inclusive environments
  •  Importance of Clear and Open Communication
  •  Build confidence in discussing support needs and reasonable adjustments
  •  Increase awareness of available resources and support networks
  •  Strengthen self-advocacy and wellbeing strategies
  •  Contribute to a culture of open communication, psychological safety, and inclusion.
