Art Drop-In: With resident artist Mindy Lee

These open themed sessions are responsive to you, providing an invaluable opportunity for you to create whatever you like with art materials and support provided.

(They are free and open to all levels and abilities, with no need to book.)

You choose a material to work with:

We currently provide, pencil, graphite sticks, pens, pencil crayons, chalk, charcoal, pastels, inks, watercolour, acrylic paints, monoprinting paint and rollers, air-drying clay and collage papers.

You choose what to work from:

  • set up a still life
  • bring a photograph to work from, or
  • work from your imagination
  • or a combination of all these things

You could practice and extend skills you have learnt in the Art Workshops

Mindy will provide bespoke support on request such as:

  • Demonstrating how to use materials
  • Different approaches to making a piece of art
  • Tips on developing (most) workshop skills
  • Feedback and constructive help with your art
  • Inspiration and other artists to look at

The more often you visit, the more Mindy can learn about your artworks and help you develop your practice. You are of course more than welcome to make without and feedback and support, it is up to you.

These relaxed sessions take place in the Blyth Art Studio, providing an inspirational, friendly and stimulating environment in which to make art.
