Homotopy groups and Hopf fibrations

In this talk, we briefly review the notion of homotopy groups and motivate their importance. We will explain their relationship to homology groups, and then explore some classical results to calculate higher homotopy groups. We will do this primarily by studying the structure of the Hopf fibration.
