Support for people in climate professions

Every career must be a climate career to achieve the rapid, society-wide transformations that responding to climate change requires. Many people have already made climate change, environment and sustainability their life's work, while others are pursuing studies or careers in these fields. However, we hear increasingly of the psychological toll and mental health impact this work can take.

Climate Cares works with climate scientists, journalists, policy experts, civil servants and students to support their mental health and wellbeing in doing psychologically difficult work and to sustain their efforts to achieve transformations across society.

Workshops

We have delivered workshops to raise awareness on the mental health impacts of working in climate professions and to support the mental resilience of staff across a range of organisations including the Climate Change Committee, the Met Office, the Environment Agency, the Department for Energy and Net Zero and the BBC.
