Overview

The Management Development Programme is expertly designed to integrate management practices with modern-day management challenges, enabling participants to broaden their understanding and confidence across crucial business areas. The programme emphasises the practical application of learnings and updated industry trends to professional situations for immediate organisation-level impact and personal career transformation.

This six month online programme draws on expertise from Imperial Business School faculty, industry experts and case studies. You will explore twenty five modules, spanning five key pillars: people leadership, data analytics for managers, marketing for managers, accounting and finance for managers, and strategic management and problem-solving.

You will experience live online teaching sessions, video lectures, interactive activities and assignments whilst receiving personal support from a dedicated Learning Team.

You will finish the programme prepared to implement your learnings, and with a verified Digital Certificate.

Learning journey

The programme is accessed through the custom learning portal. This portal will give you access to all programme-related content such as video lectures, assignments, and discussions. Live office hours will be conducted using a webinar tool. The video lectures and assignments are accessible weekly throughout the programme. In the event you miss a live session, a recording will be made available.

Your instructors

Penny Hoffmann-Becking

Programme Director, Senior Teaching Fellow

Penny Hoffmann-Becking teaches strategy, business problem-solving, organisational behaviour, and leadership on a number of MBA and undergraduate programmes at Imperial Business School. Prior to teaching, Penny had a 25-year career in business and management consulting and delivered major change projects for BP, Shell, Diageo, Ruhrgas, Vattenfall, Vodafone, O2, The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Santander, Gilead, SAS Institute, and Liverpool Football Club.

Sankalp Chaturvedi

Associate Dean of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

Sankalp Chaturvedi's research focuses on leadership, mindfulness, and collaboration mechanisms in teams. His articles have been published in many academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology and Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes.

Calvin Tsay

Lecturer in Computational Optimisation Group, Department of Computing, Imperial London

Calvin Tsay's research interests are in the areas of optimisation algorithms, process dynamics/ control, optimisation for machine learning, and process systems engineering. Calvin's research has been published in various esteemed journals.

Daniel Rowles

CEO, Target Internet; Programme Director and Lecturer, Imperial Business School

Daniel Rowles has nearly 23 years of experience in digital marketing and digital transformation. As CEO of Target Internet, he is responsible for ensuring that the digital marketing e-learning platform is an industry leader.

Jolande Bot-Vos

Principal Teaching Fellow, Imperial Business School

Jolande Bot-Vos teaches financial and management accounting in several master's, executive, and undergraduate programmes. Prior to teaching, she was a management consultant at Arthur D. Little for over a decade, where she led and participated in strategy development, overhead restructuring programmes, investment assessments, and new product development and pricing schemes.

Cláudia Custódio

Professor of Finance, Imperial Business School

Cláudia Custódio's focus is corporate finance. She is a research associate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and the Financial Markets Group (FMG).
