Our microscopy facility provides comprehensive image analysis support to help researchers extract meaningful quantitative data from their imaging experiments acquired onsite. We offer complete analysis packages, where experienced facility staff perform the analysis on your behalf, as well as advice on analysis workflows and experimental design.
Our expertise includes widely used image analysis platforms such as Imaris, Huygens, ICY, and Fiji/ImageJ, with flexibility to employ other tools where appropriate, including custom Python-based analysis pipelines for specialised or high-throughput applications. Whether you require image restoration, segmentation, tracking, co-localisation analysis, 3D reconstruction, or bespoke quantitative analysis, we can provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of your project.
Our facility manager, Volodymyr Nechyporuk-Zloy, has worked extensively to developing set- and category-theoretical foundations for scientific imaging and image analysis, whilst our microscopy specialist David Gaboriau has an extensive publication record across multiple research niches across Imperial.
David was recently nominated for and awarded the Lynne Cox Award for Excellence in Research Support which recognises individuals and teams whose outstanding contributions and innovative approaches have a meaningful impact on Imperial’s research.
