Dr James Bull awarded a Fellowship
Dr James Bull
Dr James Bull of the Department of Chemistry has been awarded a Career Acceleration Fellowship by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to start in October 2011.
Congratulations to Dr James Bull who has been awarded an EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship. These highly competitive 5-year fellowships support outstanding researchers at an early stage of their careers.
His research will develop new chemical methods to enable the synthesis of diverse molecular frameworks with the potential to be lead compounds in drug discovery. Dr Bull aims to efficiently access novel compounds based on chiral heterocycles that offer desirable physical properties and which are not currently well represented in industrial compound collections.
See here for more details.
Dr Bull joined the department of Chemistry in October 2009 as a Ramsay Memorial Research Fellow and will begin the EPSRC Fellowship in October 2011.
