Dr Sophie Helaine awarded MRC Career Development Award
Dr Helaine's research focuses on functional studies of Salmonella Toxin/Antitoxin modules and the physiology of intracellular non-growing bacteria.
The fellowship provides Sophie and her group with 5 years of research funding to pursue her studies on the physiology of intracellular Salmonella persisters and the role of toxin-antitoxin modules in persister formation.
