Paper highlighted on front cover of Nature Chemistry
Dr Joshua Edel and Professor Andrew de Mello's paper has been highlighted on the front cover of Nature Chemistry
A dilution module for high-throughput screening using droplet-based microfluidics has been developed by the Edel (and de Mello – currently at ETH) groups at Imperial. This technology allows for nanolitre sized droplets to be loaded with a well defined concentration of analyte species. The droplet can than be processed via merging, mixing, splitting with other droplets. In this article we showed that such a platform can be used for high throughput assays.
The experiments were carried out by Department of Chemisty Research Associate Dr Xize Niu and Research Postgraduate Fabrice Gielen.
