Deadline approaching fast for the 2026 awards…

Every year, targetjobs hosts their Undergraduate of the Year Awards, a unique opportunity for students to showcase their talent, celebrate their potential and connect with employers. Check out the highlights from the 2025 event below.

For 2026, applicants will be able to nominate themselves in one of ten categories, including AI Innovator of the Year, Black Heritage Undergraduate of the Year and Multilingual Undergraduate of the Year. Each of these awards is sponsored by an organisation offering a unique prize; you could win money towards a training programme, a summer internship or even a graduate role!

You can find more information on the Undergraduate of the Year Awards website. Applications must be submitted by Monday 26 January 2026.

Worried about the time commitment involved? Fear of failure holding you back?

Take a look at our interview with Eshaan Niraj, an Imperial student who won the National Security Undergraduate of the Year Award in 2025. Eshaan had applied previously for an award and not made it past the first round. Determined, he gave it another go and encourages his fellow students to do the same. He found the process to be straight forward and easy to balance alongside his studies and other commitments; "Just go for it!" He advises.
