Dr Rodrigo Chacon Quesada

Dr Rodrigo Chacón Quesada works in our Laboratory as Research Associate in Trustworthy Human-Robot Interaction since July 2022. He received his PhD degree from Imperial College London in June 2022. His thesis topic was "Affordance Inference and Visualisation for Assistive Robotics". His studies were funded by the University of Costa Rica and the Ministry of Science Technology and Telecommunications, Costa Rica.
Rodrigo received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. First Class Honours degrees in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in digital systems and communications systems respectively, from the University of Costa Rica, and developed his M.Sc. thesis project at the Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (PRIS-Lab). His background is on digital systems, image and video processing, electronics and telecommunications.
His current research interests involve Augmented Reality User Interfaces, Assistive Robotics, Affordance perception, and Human-Robot Interaction.
