Digby Chappell

Digby Chappell is a 1st year PhD student supervised by Dr Petar Kormushev in the Robot Intelligence Lab, and co-supervised by Prof. Fernando Bello in the Simulation and Modelling in Medicine and Surgery (SiMMS) research group.

Funded by the newly formed AI4Health CDT (UKRI CDT in AI for Healthcare at Imperial), he is researching Reinforcement Learning and Haptic Feedback to improve Upper Limb Prosthetics.

As an undergraduate, Digby studied Information and Computer Engineering MEng at the University of Cambridge, researching Wearable Muscle Activity Sensors in the Cambridge BioElectronics Lab for his major project.
