Yi LiuYi joined Imperial College London as a research associate in October 2018. She graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a first class MEng degree in 2014 in Materials Science followed by a PhD in 2018.

During her PhD, she worked on conductive polymer composites (CPCs) with pyroresistive behaviour. Her thesis was entitled “Flexible Self-regulating Heating Composites”.

Her current research is focused on degradation of polymers, which specifically refers to the physical interactions with service fluid in oil and gas industry. She is developing a fast assessment of the effect of fluids on polymers.
