The Occupational Health (OH) team are implementing a new IT system "Cority", as a result it is not operationally possible to deliver the Well Persons Health Assessment programme now or in the very near future.

The primary function of the OH team at Imperial is the delivery of health assessment and advice associated with protecting the health at work of staff and students, this is informed by risk assessment and is subject to statutory mandate, (Managing for health and safety HSG65).  The content of the MOST/Imperial Essentials program has been corrected to reflect these priorities.

We have been working in partnership with ICT to progress the integration of Cority into our day-to-day activity. When this has been completed, recommissioning the Well Persons service will be our next priority with an appropriate balance in focus between physical and mental health while providing meaningful advice to assist individuals improve their health status into their later years.

We encourage individuals who are concerned about their health to contact their General Practitioner and if they are particularly worried about an active health problem it may be necessary to be persistent.

Meanwhile the NHS health screen and other health screening services continue to be available in the community.

Well Online (password info) is a helpful resource and Move Imperial’s Move More campaign can provide support to individuals in setting achievable goals to increase physical activity to optimise your response to the aging process. People and Organisational Development have a program of wellbeing courses available to employees of the college.

Any developments relating to this service will be posted here and in the Staff Briefing.
