About Me
I'm a Senior Learning Technologist in the Faculty of Medicine's Digital Education Office (DEO). I support the use of digital learning tools and practices within the Dept of Surgery & Cancer's blended on-Campus PGT programmes. In life I'm generally drawn to explore ways to use technology for self-expression and to help others to do the same.
My Role Model - Matthew Fecher
The role model I have in mind is on another level though! He's a teacher, musician and software developer, and he's made his software free forever so that learners can use it without their school/college/uni having to work out how to pay for apps.
His name is Matthew Fecher (a.k.a. "Analogue Matthew"), he grew up using quality synthesizers and he wants to enable others to learn about/create music using Pro quality synths too. Together with volunteers worldwide, he's just released Synth One J6 for iPhone and iPad and it's a real labour of love.
