StudentShapers: Collaborative Imperial projects with staff partners

Rachel: StudentShapers
Rachel did a StudentShaper project in her first summer, she is now looking for work experience. She was able to update her CV to highlight the skills she used in her project. She said this about SSs and her job search.
"Being involved in StudentShapers made a real difference when I was applying for work experience roles. It meant I could confidently say I had experience working in a professional team and I could share examples of being great at something"
Rachel wrote this in her expression of interest for StudentShapers
“I enjoy working in teams and believe I have strong teamworking skills. I am a member of the Imperial College Choir which has helped me to understand how groups need to work together to produce an output”
In applying for work experiences she was able to update that to
“as well as being part of a choir, I have also worked on a staff student partnership project which showed me how a professional group works, and the conflicting priorities that come with professional environments”
