About Me

I am a PhD student in the Skene laboratory in the Department of Brain Sciences within the UK Dementia Research Institute centre at Imperial College London. My project is currently focused on functionally informed fine-mapping, aiming to identify disease-causal variants and the key regulatory mechanisms that drive these.

How did you become interested?
I became interested in the development of machine learning techniques from a statistical perspective during a research project at LSE in 2022, and have since explored a range of applications of machine learning in different projects. I am now enjoying developing mathematical models for genomics, where the high-dimensionality, feature sparsity and genetic correlation encourage the development of specialised methods to solve problems.

What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy reading, and watching and playing sport.
