Project Title: The Effect of Focused Ultrasound on Astrocytes and its Consequences on the Glymphatic System
Supervisors: Dr Sophie Morse, Dr Andriy Kozlov
Location: Level 1, Bessemer Building, South Kensington, Imperial College London, Exhibition Road, London SW7 2AZ.
About Me
I am a PhD student in the Morse laboratory in the Department of Bioengineering within the UK Dementia Research Institute centre at Imperial College London. In neurodegenerative diseases the mechanism of how the brain clears its waste is impaired. I am interested to see how a non-invasive ultrasound stimulation can help with this.
In my spare time I like to run and go climbing. I also like to cook and try out different recipes.
Qualifications
BSc(Hons) Biochemistry (2019-2023), University of Edinburgh
