The Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication (CLCC) is dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching and scholarship across the humanities, languages and science communication.
Our flagship undergraduate programmes, Imperial Horizons and I-Explore give Imperial students the opportunity to broaden their education beyond their core degree subject. Through modules in the humanities, social sciences, languages, Change Makers, or STEMM-related topics, students can explore new perspectives and develop valuable interdisciplinary skills.
Our Science Communication Unit delivers renowned master’s programmes that blend practical media training with academic insight to prepare science graduates to communicate science in creative and impactful ways. We also run a vibrant Imperial after:hours programme offering daytime and evening classes in the arts, humanities, languages, and sciences. These classes are open to everyone and form a key part of our commitment to lifelong learning.
Teaching excellence and a focus on the student experience is at the heart of everything we do. Whilst Imperial is an institution focused on science, technology, engineering, medicine and business (STEMB), we recognize the importance of a well-rounded education to equip our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the fast-changing world of tomorrow: at CLCC we provide STEMBs with roots.
