Fortran

The course begins with a brief overview of FORTRAN, after which the following topics are covered:  

• FORTRAN Data types: Integer, real and complex numbers
•  Mathematical expressions
•  Arrays
• Functions and Subroutines
• FORTRAN I/O
• Useful modern FORTRAN extensions
• NAG, MPI and other Libraries
• Parallel programming with OpenMP

Practical work occurs after each session.

No prior programming experience is required.
