Calisthenics is a form of exercise that uses your own body weight to build strength, mobility and coordination (e.g. squats, lunges, pushing and pulling movements).
What does the session target?
Full-body strength, joint mobility, balance and body awareness, with a focus on controlled movement and functional fitness.
Low impact or high impact?
Primarily low impact, with options to progress or regress movements depending on individual needs.
Suitable for any fitness level?
Yes. All exercises are adaptable and inclusive, making the class suitable for beginners through to more experienced participants.
What to expect in the class?
A supportive, calm and structured session including a warm-up, guided bodyweight exercises, rest when needed, and a gentle cool-down.

It’s a neurodiverse-friendly, non-intimidating class that builds strength and confidence at your own pace, while supporting both physical and mental wellbeing.
Booking and Cancellation Information
Due to an an ongoing issue with users booking sessions and then not attending without cancelling beforehand, we have introduced a non-cancellation penalty. Any members who miss multiple sessions within a 7-day period will have their booking ability suspended for the following 7 days. Any pre-booked sessions for this timeframe will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Please note: all sessions can be cancelled up until they are due to start via MyLeisureHub. Pay-as-you go members can cancel via ASK (Imperial Staff and Students) or by emailing move@imperial.ac.uk (Other Members).
