Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement on our booking platform

This statement applies to the content and functionality of Leisure Hub, an internally hosted, web-based application used by the College in providing Membership and Booking services for the College’s Sports facilities.

We want Leisure Hub to be accessible to all authorised users. For example, that means users should be able to:

  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • Listen to most of the website using accessibility tools such as NVDA, JAWS 2020, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, iOS VoiceOver and macOS VoiceOver.
  • Resize to the size of your window, and display a readable text size whichever device you are using (meaning the display of all content is optimised for all screen sizes)
  • Zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Current accessibility status

Overall, the website was found to be mostly inaccessible, with users of JAWS and Dragon Naturally Speaking being unable to complete a journey involving the purchasing of an item. Other issues were also encountered whilst navigating using assistive technologies, including:

  • Issues with the focus order of the website
  • Status messages not announced for error messages on the Login page
  • User not informed when an item added to basket

Other general issues include:

  • Use of default browse focus indicator
  • Download links not announced to users
  • Notification and Basket buttons not correctly announcing to users.

If you encounter accessibility difficulties or require assistance while attempting to use Leisure Hub, please contact Move Imperial at move@imperial.ac.uk, raise an ASK ticket, or visit the Ethos Sports Centre.
