Ex Libris café on the Hammersmith Hospital Campus has officially reopened following an extensive redevelopment.
The transformed space offers a brighter, more welcoming environment with improved customer service, extended opening hours and an enhanced food and drink offering.
The refurbishment, which began on 1 June and completed 4 August, is part of Imperial’s broader ambition to create a Great Environment across all its campuses.
Ex Libris now offers an expanded menu including a brand new cooked breakfast and Greek yoghurt with a variety of toppings, as well as continuing to serve the pastries and coffees you know and love. Also introduced is a rotating line-up of daily pop-ups from some of the Imperial community's favourite food outlets, including Loud Bird and La Cantina.
The new space features upgraded seating to suit a range of needs, with new soft seating for relaxed conversations and high stools for those after a quick stop. It has been designed to better serve both staff and students, offering a flexible and inviting atmosphere whatever time of day you stop by.
The project forms part of a wider programme of improvements across the Hammersmith Hospital Campus. Plans are underway for phase 2 of the improvement works, which includes the refurbishment of the link bridge between CWB and Wolfson, allowing for more seating, collaboration spaces and improved lighting and power.
The Burlington Danes Mezzanine Kitchen has also been refurbished, with new integrated units and a feature wall created to make the space more open and inviting for colleagues to relax, including new furniture which has been added to the mezzanine balcony area.
