The Property Division is led by Chief Property Officer Clare Hebbes, and is a strategic pillar of the Chief Operating Officer portfolio. Clare oversees the Division together with Deputy Chief Property Officers Jane Hay (Operations) and Sarah Cary (Development and Projects) and Great Environment Programme Director Sonia Stocker - to manage the Division's activities.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Clare ensures that Property Division delivers and maintains a world-class physical infrastructure to sustain Imperial’s global top 10 academic mission. She is accountable for the development, operation, repair and asset management of all the university’s property (excluding the development and divestment of property assets vested in the Endowment Unitised Scheme).

Jane oversees Imperial's overall property operations, providing strategic leadership for the division. Summary
Sarah is responsible for the delivery of development and construction projects across Imperial’s campuses and for the management of our commercial real estate, including innovation buildings, postgraduate halls and private residential properties. The development projects comprise academic buildings, leisure and service facilities, as well as infrastructure development works to support residential accommodation, student accommodation, office space, science incubation and scale-up facilities.

Summary
Sonia leads the cross-campus Great Environment Portfolio , focused on transforming Imperial’s spaces which includes the associated technology, and operations to support academic growth. Projects include the new academic building in White City, refurbished teaching and research facilities in South Kensington that increase capacity, optimise utilisation, and improve user experience. These initiatives drive changes to service delivery approaches, preparing Imperial’s campus infrastructure to meet evolving academic and research needs at scale.

Fergal leads Masterplanning at Imperial, providing strategic leadership for the planning and development of the university's estate across all campuses. Ian's focus is Construction, overseeing procurement and delivery for major development projects across our estate. He takes care of consultant and contractor appointments, buildability analysis, construction phasing of the masterplan, and coordinating logistics across multiple development plots. Katherine leads investment activities focused on White City and Imperial's real estate partnerships. Cian Hatton

Cian provides strategic leadership for the university's energy and decarbonisation programmes. He is responsible for the Carbon Net Zero programme, energy management strategy, operations and compliance, and the optimisation of our generation assets. He works closely with the Director of Sustainability, the Associate Provost (Sustainability) and departments and faculties to support the delivery of Imperial's energy and carbon objectives. -
James Honeyman

James leads Real Estate Asset Management, providing strategic leadership for the university's commercial, residential and innovation property portfolios. He is accountable for asset management strategy, value preservation and income optimisation across the estate, as well as commercial leasing and licences, business planning, commercial tenant relationships, and the management of commercial property interests and agreements.

Tom is responsible for leading the Capital Projects team. He provides overall leadership for a portfolio of major projects, ranging from new construction and refurbishment to the intelligent repurposing of Imperial's historic estate. Tom oversees the planning and delivery of the capital projects portfolio, including project governance, procurement, programme management and value for money.

As Interim Asset Director (Residential), Andrew oversees the university's Build-to-Rent, key worker and postgraduate accommodation portfolios. He looks after portfolio performance, occupancy, rental income and net operating income, and leads capital investment projects, governance improvements, and the management of outsourced letting and facilities management services.

Maria Svensson-Grigsby

Summary
Maria oversees Property's health and safety performance, regulatory compliance and assurance arrangements. She sets health and safety standards across the Division and provides safety-related advice across operations, maintenance, construction, projects, residences and hospitality. Maria also manages incident investigations and performance reporting, as well as the development of policies and procedures. -
Charlotte Newell

Charlotte tracks the Division’s performance across its top initiatives, utilising a roadmap management system to support institutional reporting (both internally and externally) and stakeholder engagement. Charlotte is also responsible for the Division's learning and development arm.
