• Responsible for all aspects of undergraduate student lifecycle from recruitment to admissions to graduation
• Advice on entry requirements and qualification equivalence for overseas candidates

• Overall responsibility for undergraduate teaching on the MEng in Civil Engineering
• Developing and maintaining the curriculum, procedures for assessment. progression and awards
• Chair of the Undergraduate Teaching Committee
• Co-Chair (with a student rep) of the Student-Staff Liaison Committee
• Listening to and acting on student feedback and feedback from external examiners
• Alignment with accreditation requirements

• Oversight of the Department’s admissions process, which includes processes, systems and criteria for reviewing applications and setting admissions targets
• Coordinates and attends Departmental Open Days and other recruitment events and liaises with members of staff regarding selection of students
• Manages the Undergraduate scholarship programme

• Chair of the Mitigating Circumstances Board, and oversees the late submission and mitigating circumstances processes
• Pastoral care of the undergraduate student body, including coordination of the personal tutoring system
• Advises students regarding progression, and addresses unsatisfactory engagement and student misconduct
• Liaises with staff and students about module delivery issues
