Eugenia is a Software Engineer (Backend) at Attest. She currently works in the data-quality team, which is concerned with respondent reach and respondent quality. Before joining Attest, she undertook the MSc Computing Science at Imperial.
The talk will cover what moden software engineering entails, informed by a year of building user-facing applications in a production environment. It will focus on how being an engineer is not just writing lines of code (writing "solutions"). It will expand on something that's key in software engineering: at the heart of what we do lies the importance of being a strong problem-definer and problem-solver.
