Title:  Equitable and Accountable Ai

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is steadily invading every aspect of our lives. Decisions that have traditionally been executed by humans are increasingly performed by algorithms, ranging from judging a beauty pageant to decide if you get a mortgage. As a minority, i've had the misfortune of being stopped because of a false positive from facial recognition. So, i'm very aware of the situation, luckily, they realized their mistake. As a society, we need to make sure the technology the government and companies are using is fit for purpose and works properly. Transparency is a major challenge as companies don’t want to share their IP on how they came to their conclusion. Here, we see a market opportunity to help with the accuracy of the technology. Our approach to this challenge is to build an algorithm fit for purpose and not a one-size-fits-all. The accuracy of machine learning models is perhaps the most important element of AI models. The more effective and reliable the model the more usable it is. Any improvements in inaccuracy will make all the difference in a competitive world.
