Borja Gonzalez Leon I work on deep reinforcement learning and formal methods. I am from Spain although I lived in Italy for a while before moving to the UK. If you'd like to find good food in London once the situation goes back to normal, I can be a food buddy as well! |

Amber Gorzynski I work on compiler testing in the Multicore Programming Group. I think compilers are programming languages are super nifty, and I love learning about them 🙂 Somewhat unusually, I do not have an extensive background in computing: my undergrad was in Econometrics, and I worked in industry for 6 years before realising that I just wanted to spend all day messing around with programming languages. It has been a bit of a lifestyle shock to return to student life. I am very happy to chat with anyone who is adjusting! I am from the UK and have been in London for around 10 years. Miriam I am a final year PhD student and I work on Algorithmic Game Theory. I have a background in Economics and Computer Science. In my free time, I like to play badminton and squash, and listen to music from the late 70s to the 90s. Many of the insights you gain during your PhD are useful to know right from the start, so I’m happy to answer any questions that become more relevant as your PhD progresses! |
