This highly interactive course introduces participants to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI ®), a popular framework to understand behavioural difference. It will help you to gain greater self-awareness and improve your understanding of others. The resultant insights may be applied to improve your assessment of situations and application of personality type to improve communication, working with others and progress in your research life.
The course is popular, if you book, please save the date in your diary and let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel to allow us 3 weeks to open to the waiting list.
This course has preparatory activities (~30 minutes) to complete before the live course (2.5h) - and to engage with during the course: you will receive the credit by participating in all preparatory and live course activities.
After you have completed the preparatory questionnaire and live course you will gain signposting to materials and can sign up for a group or individual follow up to explore type and other materials further.
The course assists you to appreciate your "best fit" type (which can be different to your "reported profile"). Discussion and activities highlight how differences in type can create both friction and synergy when working and researching with others.
This course is open to Research Degree Students, MRes, Postdocs and Research Fellows.

- Appraise your “best fit” profile.
