Independent research fellows at Imperial are members of research staff who have successfully applied for funding to include their salary (for example, Imperial College Research Fellows, UKRI Future Leader Fellows, Royal Society University Research Fellows, BBSRC Future Leaders, EPSRC Early Career Fellows, Wellcome Early-Career Awardees, MRC New Investigator Research Grant holders etc. This list is not exhaustive.
