ABSTRACT

The Internet has never been a more critical piece of infrastructure. It has also never been more complicated. Keeping this infrastructure up and running requires tracking the state of an inherently dynamic network over time. At ThousandEyes, we continuously sample the Internet from servers across the globe. This talk explores our data, some recent major Internet outages, how we detected them, and what technologies and infrastructure we use to process and present this data in near real time.

SPEAKER BIO

Nelson spent several years as a network and software engineer in Portugal before moving to San Francisco, and then London, with his wife and cat to build cool stuff, and fly planes.
