From maintenance issues and waste disposal to space information requests and office moves, we provide a range of services to keep campus running smoothly. This page outlines the main ways that we can help staff and students.

Report a maintenance issue

If you notice a facilities problem with your building or any part of campus, contact our Customer Services Centre.

Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00–18:00 (except university closure days), although we will respond to emergency and critical issues outside of these times.

Depending on your issue’s urgency, you can reach us in several ways:

Disposing of waste

We can support with bulk or specialist waste disposal. Our services include support for confidential waste disposal, furniture recycling, electrical waste disposal and hazardous waste disposal.

Whatever you need, you can submit a request through the two routes below:

Support with a minor office move

Our team can help with moving a small amount of furniture if you're undertaking a minor office move at the South Kensington campus. This is generally defined as a move that requires 12 boxes or less. You can submit the form below to request our help.

Unfortunately, we're currently only able to support office moves at South Kensington. If you need help outside of South Kensington - or your move is larger than 12 boxes - you should still submit the below form and we can support you in finding a specialist contractor.

Requesting, releasing or modifying space

Our Space and Building Information team support departments by reviewing requests for new space and changes in ownership, as well as advising how to best utilise space.

You can learn more about how space is used across campus by accessing Pythagoras below.  Then, if you need to request, release or modify space, you should submit a Space Change Form. When releasing space, you must provide a Clearance Certificate. When requesting space or modifying space data, you must include a risk identification template.

You can contact the Space Manager if you need help or to discuss your needs.

Report an accident or near miss

All staff, students and visitors have a responsibility to take reasonable care of your own health and safety when on campus, as well as not putting others at risk by what you do or don't do.

If you're involved in or cause an accident during the course of your work or studies, you must report it via Imperial's CoreStream system. This includes 'near misses'; an incident which may not have caused injury but might do in the future.  Your report will then be investigated and measures may be put in place to prevent it from reoccurring.
