The annual Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) Festival of Science will run all day Friday 21st April in Sir Alexander Fleming Building (South Kensington Campus). The festival is a chance for CDT students to showcase current research and scientific issues to the community of Imperial College London. This year’s theme “Science and Art – Exploring Creativity” will explore the features of the creative process.Creative thinking plays a central role in science. A researcher needs to be imaginative to set up goals and to find unexplored solutions to research problems. Science and technology in turn influence the ways artists can express their creativity, enhancing the possibilities in fields like painting, music, architecture. The Festival will be focused on investigating the creative process in science and art, and how one field affects the other.
