About the travelling party
Associate Provost (Academic Planning) Professor Neil Alford’s current research is targeted towards energy materials and he led an EPSRC Programme Grant in Energy Materials. Professor Alford has served as Head of the Department of Materials and as Vice-Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Engineering. In 2013, he was awarded an MBE for services to engineering.
